Mainframe is a place every Diver knows about, though only the elite know its location. To get to Mainframe, you must either have been there, follow the clues to find it, or be taken there by a Diver.
Mainframe is a haven for technophiles, Divers, cyberneticists, geeks and freaks of all species, except of course for law enforcement. Mainframe is considered by its residents to be a law unto itself, and they have the firepower to defend against most assaults.
A hodgepodge of tech ratholed away from all over the galaxy all interconnected, Mainframe lies within a vast cavern underneath the surface of a planet, though it is unknown which one exactly.
Since mostly like-minded races come to Mainframe, malicious hacking from within Mainframe is loosely forbidden. This doesn't stop police from trying to find the place, as 'all Divers are malicious'.
